That ag land west of the Dome isn't sitting unused, it's long term plant research. Keeping our R1 research status is more important than a new on campus stadium, and ripping up plots goes against that. And no, we can't just replant somewhere else, soil consistency is a big part of the research.

It's been over 10 years since I was in those fields so I don't know exactly what they're doing now. It's a moot point anyway since the FAA will never allow a building that tall in that spot.

Those fields are further from the main runway than the Fargodome is. At least the closest one to the interstate is. Not sure what they base it on though

Could mean they have decided to up their marketing game, which was non existent for about a decade because we sold out

There's really only one person that thinks we need a new 35,000 seat stadium. The rest of us are perfectly content to go to FBS with what we have.
