What is the Dome's surplus dollars at right now?

I remember I was at Indiana State game - left at half and the line was super long for bathrooms while we exiting.

Surplus is $50 million. They were ready to go and then decided to put it on hold in late 2019. Their indecisiveness blew an opportunity to do smaller parts of it during 2020 when the building was closed down all year. They have done a ton of smaller upgrades but I wonder if the delay is related to the proposed convention center. They really need to get started on the west side concourse expansion with extra bathrooms. Trying to take a piss at a huge concert shouldn't be a 20 minute ordeal. Having no concourse on the west side really sucks, especially with the now half hour wait to get through metal detectors waiting in line in sub zero weather

Just from a security standpoint I prefer to have those scanners external to the structure. Do not wish to have a bomb toting terrorist on the inside prior to inspection.

US Bank scanners are outside - no doubt for this reason.

On the east side they are inside the concourse addition. If I'm going to get blown up, I prefer to be warm.

You might still make the same choice and that's fine. But I think the way you described it is misleading.

Maybe but we seem to go to extreme lengths to prevent another 9-11 or even another Timothy McVeigh don’t we?

I think the odds of another flying bomb are just about as high as a suicide vest bomber but the results of failure are pretty damned horrific. If you let a bomber get inside before scrutiny then the structure itself becomes a component of the bomb.

There is no danger that I will be in charge of security at any location other than this one is this life time. So you are all safe from my measures. But if I was in charge then I would err on the side of caution and if those above me in the pecking order discounted my concerns I would promptly resign.
