I hope they reconsider the architectural aspects of it. The plans shown would have met their objectives but looked like a hack job. Kind of like the SHAC.

It's still not clear to me what the project would look like without the convention center and we haven't even seen a rendering of the seating. Heard something about corner sky bars, party decks, and a gondola suspended from the ceiling. Seems like a lot of money to commit to since it doesnt add any convention space and we haven't seen any plans on seating. Clearly we need additional convention space with or without the giant convention center.

I liked the plans from a few years ago that had space on the west side with a bar on top and a rooftop addition

From an NDSU perspective the last thing they should want is for this to go to a vote.

The last thing the city of Fargo needs right now is a tax to go towards done upgrades. My opinion is it would not get the traction needed to pass.

It got 60+% support back when Fargo was very different. You now got 25+ years or a few generations of people who have seen everything from epic Bison games and tailgates to concerts and use it for everything from the Marathon to Rib Fest. It arguably saved the city from a massive flood too. I could see support being quite good. The community has some great pride.

What I dont think the community would support is another events center. Its something the average Joe wont benefit from or use.

Better chance of passing is to do a small addition, widen the concourse, add restrooms, and some seating. Not some massive overpriced Center that takes up half the parking lot

I went thru security at target field tonight without removing keys or phone from pockets. Only thing slowing line was the ticket scan.

So how did the new sound system sound? Did "Thunderstruck" thump like it always should have?

Well that's promising. I can't wait to hear it for myself. Thanks.
