Encoding for such a large format is going to be a bear.

It's hard enough finding quality desktop backgrounds for my 21:9 workstation monitor.

I assume Daktronics has been helping with this....

I saw a Daktronics truck parked in the dome lot. Does that count as a sneak peek?

Not really that difficult. I've hooked up my Mac (while using CamTwist) to many big boards across the country usually using SDI cables with BlackMagic devices, and any videos that were 720p or 1080p in 16:9 ratio looked just as good on the big screens as it did on my external screen. I forget the name of the system the FargoDome is using other than it is PC-based, but it will be more powerful and flexible than what I am using. Plus, they will be using fiber to connect its cameras to the new system. Very high-end stuff!

I can't wait for next year, when my promo videos will look many times more better than they did on the corner video boards. Here's the one I did for intro into the Championship Matches:

I think the current guy does a pretty good job already.

    Thread drift...

Great memories in the video and remembering the presentation. Thanks for sharing!

I just hope before the craziness of the banner raising and intro these boards will show, that the first thing shown on them is a video tribute to Scottie Miller.

Looks like they quit working inside and are hanging the new boards outside on 19th and University.

Saw after lunch they were removing the old boards, did not see any new boards on the trucks. Indigo signs must be contracting
    with Daktronics.
