Dome Upgrades

So apparently there are going to be ribbon boards along the face of the concourse level (at the edge of where the standing room only locations) if I understanding that part correctly? Or somewhere in the corners anyway? Inside of the fargodome is going to look like the strip!

I think they will be on the top edge of the ramp opening to each of the four field corners...where it usually has a white w/ red lettering "restrooms" or "concessions" banner hanging, just my guess because "field vom" is Dome-speak for the four corners down the ramps from the field.

Looks like the dome is getting surface mount led panels at 10mm spacing compared to SDSUs through hole panels at 15mm. These are going to be impressive.

Damn this is long long overdue needed maintenance but since we waited so long and prices dropped with technology, it worked out well. It's going to be not only the best in thr FCS, but one of the best in the nation.

This is going to be so impressive. Two giant 100 foot HD boards in each end zone, smaller boards behind them, 4 HD corner boards, 4 corner ribbon boards, and new outdoor boards.

I guarantee any recruit who sees the intro on these will be blown away. Can't wait to see then on ESPN vs Charleston Southern. I remember being totally jealous of SDSU'S but now we have two of them!

Couple this with the new trophy case, new hall way graphics, new player lounge, and the soon to be remodeled locker room and thr whole complex is coming together nicely. Not to mention the SHAC, the bubble, indoor track, and Dacotah Field gettiing some tlc and its awesome. Heck before you know it we could start looking at an IPF. Like Simmers says, "success breeds success."

Yeah but we're talking about nearly 40% under here for base bid amounts. This isn't driven by those items you mentioned, 15-20% maybe. Estimate usually is based on base bid not option add ons. You generally don't want your estimate that far off even if it does favor your client.

If all the other ones came in that low then I might agree which is why I'm hoping road will provide those numbers for me!

Go look at NDDOT bid openings for this year. Numbers are crazy low across the board. You have some projects with 10+ bidders and the engineers estimate is the "high bid."

Very glad to see them upgrade to the better resolution. Evidently they learned their lesson from last time...if you're going to do it, do it right!

Go look at NDDOT bid openings for this year. Numbers are crazy low across the board. You have some projects with 10+ bidders and the engineers estimate is the "high bid."

The Dome will also have 5 new cameras this year for better angles. Maybe even higher quality, something you would see at NFL stadiums.
