Where exactly are people proposing this new off campus stadium to be built?

NDSU to the FBS always. In all ways.
Autzen Stadium is about a mile away from the closest part of the U of O campus which is walkable, but not on campus.
It's OK to not be OK.
I will say it's much easier to find a walkable off campus stadium in December in Los Angeles, Oregon, or pretty much anywhere but Fargo.

Join the Green and the Gold Collective to take Bison football to the next level. Starts at $10 a month
The Green and The Gold Collective is excited to announce our #DriveToFive membership campaign. The goal of this campaign is to get to 500 monthly members. Reaching this goal will help us provide financial support to NDSU student athletes, including every returning member of the football team that saw action on the field last year!

When you play football, you gotta like the taste of blood, And 50 percent of the time, it's your blood.
It is characteristic of the unlearned that they are forever proposing something which is old, and because it has recently come to their own attention, supposing it to be new.

The ND Horse Park is 110 acres. It isn't like there are any races anyways (a way to bilk the state for some money). Move the NDSU equine sciences center somewhere else. All the land west of it is for sale for an absolutely huge tailgating lot. The dome gets gutted and turned into a IPF. Make it happen.
Think this pretty much confirms what I've been told. Not all the green areas in city of Fargo boundaries are NDSU, but I'd been told NDSU controls land from 12th ave to County Rd 20, west of airport and east of 45th st. Which are all green, which is indicated to be Public/Institutional land. I'm pretty sure they could find a way to put a stadium close to campus... if not right on it.

Year 1 - build out and up
Year 2 - tear off the roof and put a giant bubble over the whole thing allowing room for future expansion with a cantilever upper deck like the Seahawks Stadium.
Year 3 - build a parking ramp
Not sure how to pay for it.

Ok, are people's purple text buttons broke or are some of actually serious that a new stadium should be built? Are you people serious because I can't tell anymore. Do you know how on it would take to raise 100-150 million dollars?!!!! As long as the dome stays current with upgrades, which they are, it is still a great home for Bison football.

You are on to something with year 2 but you need to think bigger. The new LA Rams stadium is going to have a 19 acre ETFE roof that also covers an adjoining plaza. Such a roof could be built in place over the Fargodome and the expansion could be built into it as demand dictates. It could also cover part of the tailgate lot. I'm not sure how the natural light thing would go over, but I'm sure we could make due with a new opening.
Yes that's all purple.
