Dome Upgrades

I'm talking about the corner panels that have ndsu, shooting star... those were cleverly put up for absorbing sound while doubling as sponsors. It makes the dome acoustics go from terrible to below average

If the place was designed right it would have had seats in the corners, not pillars with cute banners hanging all around. That alone would have boosted capacity to 24,000 to 25,000.

Cost was likely a factor in how it was designed remember they were working with tax dollars not private money can't always get what you want when you have a limited budget. Seems there were some who thought the dome was too big when it first was built.

I might be wrong, but I think all the 2015 upgrades are "behind the scenes" sorts of things. I've heard rumors of wiring upgrades to get ready for new scoreboards and/or videoboards, as well as new TVs in the concourses and a revamped production room to provide HD content to the new screens. How much of that is true, I don't know.
