The rendering makes it pretty clear, this thing will go right over the tailgate lot. I am all for this going downtown as long as the dome fund isn't raided.

NDSU to the FBS always. In all ways.
Where's the rendering I havent seen it. If it goes over the tailgate lot that would suck and it would be completely stupid.
Edit I just saw it. Do they not think we need parking? WTF. I just changed my mind. We don't need something THAT big. Wow it's the entire lot.
That rendering wasn't there when I posted the link

Join the Green and the Gold Collective to take Bison football to the next level. Starts at $10 a month
The Green and The Gold Collective is excited to announce our #DriveToFive membership campaign. The goal of this campaign is to get to 500 monthly members. Reaching this goal will help us provide financial support to NDSU student athletes, including every returning member of the football team that saw action on the field last year!

As much as I'd like to see this at the dome, I don't see it going anywhere but downtown. Something like this has always been the plan for downtown by the powers at work including our governor.
the City of Fargo is a joke. NDSU has done so much for the town and economy for 50+ years.
It's time for them to help and expand the dome or build a new one... OR NDSU needs to tell them BYE BYE and build their own stadium lying west to east south of SHAC on those practice fields. plenty of room.
make the R lot the new tailgate area and connect that north to current tailgate lot.
NDSU then keeps every dollar of revenue. and worse case threaten to do it to push the city council's hand
NDSU TO FBS. HAVEN'T WE WON ENOUGH?
Plenty of people have said it before: If they are going to tie the convention center to the FargoDome financially, they need to build it at the FargoDome - otherwise, sure, they say it''ll make money, but if it doesn't, then not only have they looted the FargoDome, but they've tied an anchor around it as well.
If they aren't tying the convention center to the FargoDome financially, then, fine, build it anywhere.
In any case, there needs to be a vote.
