its been hashed out so many times its getting old

WE CANT AFFORD A BUILDING THIS SIZE

Not a chance in Hell the City would support those dollars, State is NOT going to help, wont happen. We have to just be damn glad they built the dome to the size they did and not smaller like the Alerus Center, yes it should have been 25K to start but cant change that now. Its North Dakota, money will not be spent on another Venue like this. Sucks but that's the way this VERY Conservative state is.

You can throw out all the G5 size stadiums you want, most of those university's have lots of state funding help, ND doesn't, Higher ED and Athletics at those Higher Ed institutions are considered a hassle for ND citizens, most go to school leave and never look back or care.

The only reason some people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

So since NDSU isn't going to foot the bill, you're going to ask the city to do it to accommodate something that takes place 7-11 times per year? That's a pretty tough sell. What the Fargodome will do is what's best for the Fargodome. They will do what they can with the money they have to accommodate NSDU the best they can, but they're not going to build the place just for NDSU. And what does NDSU football look like to you in 5, 10, 25 years? Are we still FCS? If we are, than think of the Fargodome as Cameron Indoor Stadium. Small venue, great atmosphere, high demand for tickets. Or do you see NDSU going FBS? What conference? Doesn't really matter though because a new stadium would need to be built. NDSU isn't forcing themselves into anything deeper by the Fargodome expanding with more conference space and attaching to the SHAC. It actually increases incoming money for NDSU by utilizing the SHAC for conferences and other large events. NDSU isn't going anywhere though so this is all just hot air offseason talk. And for what you can expand the dome for to get it up to 25k-30k, you could get close to building a new stadium. So that's not happening.
Cameron? PSU’s Rec Hall is pretty small too.

So depressing. We are stuck with only 1 way to go. Down. Can't get any better in fcs!!! Waste of time / money for the IPF when it could be used towards new stadium
NDSU TO FBS. HAVEN'T WE WON ENOUGH?

Appalachian State and Georgia Southern gets occasional G5 home games and they only have stadiums of 24-25k . Realistically we could add seats to get us to 20 maybe 21k. Is it that big of a difference?

New Mexico State and Louisiana Lafayette have huge stadiums and they dont have a Power 5 game on their schedule through the 2027 season.

The Sunbelt and mediocre G5 dont get many Power 5 games for the same reason we dont do home and homes with mediocre FCS teams. Fans dont care. Home games are more profitable and it doesn't help strength of schedule.

Georgia Southern and Appalachian can get the occasional good game despite the 24-25k capacity because they are an interesting and solid opponent.

In 10 years, G5 vs Power 5 will be non existant. Just look and the future Nebraska and Minnesota road non conference schedule for the next decade. Go ahead and click through the Big Ten and I'll be surprised if you see more than a handful of road games vs G5.

We need to prepare for a future to compete with G5 teams, who are our peers. Not Power 5.

    agreed, bruh
    1. The FCS was the Best option for NDSU for a very long time.
    2. As a general rule- the FCS sucks at football and has proven that is not committed to football at all.
    3. It's time to go FBS

The comparison to Cameron is way overused by fan bases trying to explain away sup par capacity. Also, remember season tickets to Duke basketball are insanely expensive since they are so limited. Is that what you want at the FargoDome? Tickets so expensive that the average family and team maker give them up in favor of more corporate sponsors? Someday we will have to do something; whether that's a new building, outdoor stadium, or significant Dome expansion. My only point is before 35 million gets dropped on the Dome to expand restrooms, widen concourses along with adding a convention center that will further eat up parking, lets at least have a long term plan of what Bison football looks like.
