Ugh, I got my first speeding ticket in Minnesota. Lets just say they tried to make up their entire state deficite with my ticket. I bet the same ticket in ND would maybe have been half of what I payed.

Way less than half. A 74 in a 65mph zone in ND cost me $23 several years ago. A couple years later, a 64 in a 55mph zone in MN cost me >$130.

The last ticket I got in Minnesota was $195. It gets worse if you head east from here too. I thought I saw some signs in like Indiana that say "minimum fine $370".
