Tailgating is permitted in parking areas surrounding Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. Please note: Open flames are not permitted in the parking garages. No tents are allowed prior to 7 a.m. on gameday. Signage is subject to approval by IMG College Sports and UT Athletics. Remember to throw away your trash and to recycle your aluminum cans in the bags provided. If trash is left tied up at your tailgating location, UT Athletics will handle the disposal.

A maximum of one spare cylinders is allowed at any cooking location and shall be located a minimum of 10 feet from the cooking operation.
While in use and in storage, propane gas cylinders shall be in the upright position or positioned so that the pressure relief valve is in direct communication with the vapor space of the cylinder.
See FPS-SOP 09-03 - The use of propane on the campus of the University of Texas for further propane restrictions.

To properly extinguish charcoals, pour water on the charcoals and dispose of them in a metal container with a metal top/cover. Do not put charcoals in any trash receptacle/bin/ dumpster.
Shut off valves prior to disconnecting propane cylinders from barbecue grills/smokers and/or deep fryers.
Propane cylinders shall be removed from grills prior to storing the grill.
Grills shall be fully cooled prior to storage, then properly secure and clean up your area.
If tents are being used, the tent shall be UL approved and have a Fire Resistive Rating Label. Tents used for grilling shall be completely open on all sides.

They don't enforce these very much, I saw zero security when I was around. Sounded like some people tailgated overnight in some lots as well. Everyone has generators/couches/multiple tv's with smoker trailers etc. We basically did what we wanted.
They were probably too busy with their tape measures.

Lol, hey I'd take that problem here. If the worst thing I had to worry about was how far my grill was from my vehicle, I'd be happy as hell.

Because the game will end so late, tailgating and alcohol consumption will not be permitted following the contest. Fans should cease tailgating activities before the end of the 4th quarter and be prepared to leave parking lots and ramps as soon as traffic permits. RV's will be permitted to stay in lots overnight on Saturday. Law enforcement personnel will be present to enforce the no tailgating mandate.

Select University of Iowa parking lots will open at the normal time of 7 p.m. Friday. All other UI parking lots open at 7 a.m. on Saturday. RV owners arriving on university property Friday night please note that the possession of an open container of beer or wine or the consumption of hard liquor is prohibited by law.

On Saturday only beer and wine are allowed on UI property. Open alcoholic beverages must be consumed within parking areas and cannot be taken outside of parking areas-including on public streets and sidewalks.

Possession or consumption of hard liquor is not permitted in university parking areas or on public streets and sidewalks.
