My boss hates it when I shorten his name to Dick, mainly because his name is Steven.

"Tough" isn't a word that comes to mind first when I think about Bell. Although now that you say it, that frail little bean pole would have to have been pretty tough and gutty given the repeated beating that he took. Most young men would have completely crumbled.
    Insert something clever here...

Yeah, looking at him you would think he is more of a pot smoking boy band kind of guy from Portland, OR rather than a starting qb from a top FCS team

He did crumble. He played a horrible game at increasing magnitude after each hit.

Quote from Chargers linebackers coach Mike Nolan regarding KE and his transition from DE to LB-
But for Kyle, the coverage will be a big part. Now in the short time thus far, he’s done an outstanding job. Not just a regular job, but an outstanding job, so we’re all very pleased with where he is in the short term. We are hopeful that progress continues at the same pace, and he would surpass some expectations from a coverage standpoint.

I think he will play a lot from the get go and will be a monster on special teams.

I definitely will be worrying about Peyton Manning's safety for at least two games this upcoming season. Those Chargers had a heck of a draft.
