    Thats because back in the day the only way Berry would schedule the game was if he had his starting pitching staff available after throttling a bottom dweller in the DAC with his lower staff. Meanwhile NDSU would throw their #5,6 starters saving their #1-4 for conference games. When McLeod took over they had a deeper pitching staff and didnt lose anymore. Berry then quit playing them. The winning percentage would be reversed had they still played through those 16 years.

    Its no excuse its fact. The previous 2 seasons in 1991 and 1992 NDSU was 1-7 against Mayville. McLeod took over in 1993. They promptly won 5 of 6 against Mayville in 1993 and 1994 and the series went away for the exact reason I stated.
