Well the Mastodons proved something yesterday. Time to pick up the pace and muster some offense. A win today is very important. We can't drop below 500.

Courtney Cronin led the way for the ‘Dons both in the pitcher’s circle and in the batter’s box, pitching a complete-game in the opener, striking out a career-high 12, while also going 4-for-7 at the plate with two home runs and five runs driven in, while also scoring three times.**IPFW website

A total heartbreaker. A great pitching match up between Whitney and Courtney Cronin. Two very young and talented pitchers. It's going be be fun watching them in the years to come.

Our infield is very tough and I'm impressed with their fielding and throwing abilities. This is not where we need to be right now. We need to start playing better against our conference foes if we intend to win the conference and get back to the dance. We need to find some offense and put together a rally or two.

I'm looking forward to Western Illinois on the 16th and 17th. I'm also looking for a better fan turnout as well. I'll give everyone a pass this weekend due to Easter weekend.
