So how does this team compare to last year's, at least insofar as non-con play? From what i've read we've played some legit competition, but with a just-over-.500 record what does that say about the team? What's considered "good" with the schedule we're playing?

Just curious, I know jack about softball. Obviously are ladies are crazy-good, just trying to get a better picture from anyone who might have some insight.

The entire outfield and infield players return from last year's team. Of the 30 games so far this season, freshman Whitney Johnson has started 19 of them and Randi Parks has started the other 11. Johnson has a 13-8 record with an ERA of 2.63 and Parks has a 5-4 record with an ERA of 3.71. Johnson is a strikeout pitcher with 152 of them in 141 innings pitched and an opponents batting average of .192.
