I hate to skip over this year, b/c we will be improved. But, seriously, the NEXT year is where it's at.

We all may be pleasantely surprised this year, the chemistry will be a whole new ball game, and if meshes this could be a dangerous team. Think about it, there is no way to repeat last year even if you tried !!

If our defense doesn't improve and we don't have a rb step up to take Pat's spot and take some pressure off the qb a repeat of last year may not be so difficult.

    .

    ..or better yet, playing 7-on-7!

As proven by Longhorns star Colt McCoy and others, no state turns out quarterbacks like Texas, where spread-happy offenses, seven-on-seven tournaments and year-round reps have prepared signal-callers to excel in Division I-A programs from coast to coast

It will interresting to see this freshman class in spring ball. I left them out of the original 10 to watch because these are the guys that will be getting huge looks if the upper classmen don't raise their game. On paper, only a few guys look to have spots locked up.

    Matt Gratzek
    Preston Evans
    Garret Johnson
    Austin Richard
    Michael Arndt
    Matt Veldman
    Lee Vandal

    Top freshmen to look at...

    Brock Jenson
    Nick Powell-Calhoon
    Cooper Wahlo
    Ryan Drevlow
    Tyler Gimmestad
    Justin Juckem
    Cole Jirik
    Levon Perry
    Taylor Nelson
