Default Thursday Night in the Summit

NDSU vs SUU- Even though their roster has seen a major roster shakeup, Davis Baker has remained a constant for the Thunderbirds. Baker is averaging 17.8 points per game and 5 rebounds. that said, gaurd Jason Brimely is the only other player that averages double digits in points, with 10.9.

Even though SUU is tough on the road, the Bison appear to be playing some of their best basketball of the season right now. With no huge SUU post presence look for Jordan Aaberg and Eric Carlson to have big games. NDSU 76 SUU 68

SDSU vs UMKC- This is a big momentum game for the Jacks. After sweeping games against ORU and Centenary SDSU can not afford a setback here, especially with a trip to SUU on Saturday. This is the kind of game SDSU teams of years past would drop.

To UMKC's credit they have gone from a horrible team to something that could be called respectable this season. The Roos are 2-1 in league play and 8-6 overall.

Although UMKC is playing better ball, SDSU has some serious momentum going and is getting solid play from both their younger and more experienced players. SDSU 78 UMKC 70

IPFW vs Centenary- After starting their season red hot, the Gentleman have come back down to Earth. Centenary lost decisively to both NDSU and SDSU in last week's games.

Without a solid big man, Centenary is really struggling against teams that have a solid front court. Which will plague them again against IPFW. Forward Deilvez Yearby is averaging 17.4 points and 9 rebounds per game, no team has been hold Yearby under 13 points all season.

IPFW has the guards to match up the Gents and Yearby gives them a forward the Gents won't be able to contain. IPFW 81 Centenary 76

    Game of the Week

    Oakland vs ORU-
After their Dakota road swing the Golden Eagles have to be glad to be back in the Mabee Center. ORU has yet to lose at home and has taken down the likes of New Meixco and Missouri on their court. To top it off Oakland has lost their last 9 games in Tulsa.

This year might be there best shot. ORU is injured and has been a bit inconsistent this year.

The X-factor for this game will be Oakland's defense. ORU is a great team at home, and it will take a great defensive effort and getting stop at the end of the game to pull this one out.

Even though I think Oakland is a bit better team than ORU, I can't go against the Golden Eagles at home, especially when Oakland hasn't really shown the ability to play great defense on the road. The streak will continue but this game will be a barn burner...ORU 74 Oakland 72

The ORU-Oakland game will be FCS if you get bored with the national title game.
