I wish someone had some more film on him. He looks like hes got a good over the top release. Flips it out of there pretty quickly and seems fearless. His footwork looks sort of inconsistent, but seems to square his shoulders and step into the throw. The one point of concern is it looks like he passes a lot out of the shotgun(from the video anyway), which might lead to issues learning how to read defenses while dropping in our offense. Seems like he has all of the tools. Does the left handed thing bother anyone?
This kid is a ghost on the internet too, usually you can find a homemade highlight video on youtube or something, but he has nothing haha.
as most incoming freshman QBs he will need some work
I've seen him make a lot of accurate throws that our current QB's don't make. I think he's got lots of potential. Glad he'll be in a Bison jersey.
Yep, he gets a little off balance and almost tips over or something. His arm strength in high school makes up for it, as well as the slower defense. He'll have to improve on that in college. A few times he forgets to square his shoulders as well, but I think if he gets his footwork down, he should be ok. A lot of kids don't really get *real* QB coaching in HS.
What I like is his size, his competitiveness, and his potential leadership skills. Arm looks decent. I've heard that he loves putting a hit on people when he's playing safety. This is the kind of athlete that we want at every position. The kid flat-out knows how to win.
If you wore the uniform...you're a champion.
All I know is that the attitude of we, his rival school-fanbase, had a mentality of "F*** this guy."
If his opposing fan base is afraid of him, I count it as a good thing he's playing for the good guys now.

Mechanics can be worked on. The important thing I think to take away from this is that he is a team leader, confident, and wants to win, and obviously knows how to win. Something we've lacked lately IMO.
