How about Idaho going 8-4? One of the best stories of the season. This is a team that usually goes 2-10 or worse every year and yet churns out one of their best seasons ever a few years from dropping down to FCS.

Will he be coaching? Or recruiting for his new team?

So do you hire the FCS head coach, or the Power 5 coordinator?
Nevada Wolfpack looking at Eastern Washington's Beau Baldwin and
Vanderbilt's offensive coordinator, Andy Ludwig. There is also mention of a
3rd candidate the newspaper has not yet identified.

The Wolf Pack, whose search officially began Nov. 27 when the school parted way with Brian Polian, began on-campus interviews Monday and would like to have a hire in place by Friday so the new coach can dive into recruiting the 2017 class.

No head coach would ever take another job in the middle of the playoffs.
The only reason some people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

3rd finalist identified for University of Nevada job, an assistant at Arizona State, Jay Norvell.
(Eastern Washington's Beau Baldwin and Vanderbilt's offensive coordinator, Andy Ludwig, are the other 2)

No more distractions in Cheney (this week )
for Eastern Washington - Nevada hires Jay Norvell

Jay Norvell, the third and final candidate to interview for the Wolf Pack football head-coaching vacancy, was so impressive he didn’t even leave Reno before being offered the job, which he quickly accepted.
