Well, here's hoping he's as improved as everyone's saying, that he can keep a cool-head and check off his receivers rather than hone in on one covered guy, get some protection from the O-line, throw off of his good foot, and if all else fails, that the coaches can recognize that he's struggling and sub in Dante for a crack at Iowa State.
Good luck out there Nick. You're on a big stage that will shut up a lot of naysayers if you can deliver.

Figures. I think he'll be given a pretty long rope again. With that said, my sig could change really quickly as I was ready to tar and feather him after last season's late game dissapointments against Wyo, W. Ill, YSU and SDSU. Hopefully he plays out of his mind!

Thats my back up plan.........if I make it to the stadium all numbed up I won't feel a thing if Mertens and the rest of the team lay an egg. On the contrary, if they make it a game I can yell and scream my head off.
