    Default Favre and the Vikings

Well, it finally happened. Brett Farve is going to play for the Vikings.

While it'll be interesting to see what he can to with the Vikings, I just wish he would go away.... Enough of this "I'm retiring. (3 months later) Just kidding."

I thought everyone knew how to spell his name by now. Favre. Not Farve.

    Wow, quite epic

    *No Pun intended

Having Brett on the team may actually be a good thing. I have read several articles that say that Minnesota is just a quarterback shy of being a serious Super Bowl contender this year.

Is this the same Brett Favre, that has won the same amount of Super Bowls as Brad Johnson and hasn't won anything of significance in 12 years. Either way it will be fun to watch.

If I were a Vikings fan, I'd be excited. The team is loaded and now they have a decent option at QB. If they don't make a deep run in the playoffs this team should immediately be imploded and Chili-dog should be canned. I think Favre's biggest benefit to the Vikings is not so much that he is the Favre of yesteryear, it's simply that he is not T-Jack or Sage. Any improvement at the QB position will do wonders for this team.

Now I'm putting on my Packer fan hat. I hope Brett leads you guys to the Superbowl. I hope he has a great season. I hope you guys find yourself playing against the Steelers or the Patriots, 4th qtr, down by 6, 2 minutes to go, Favre steps onto the field drives the teams down inside the 20. Then with no time on the clock, Favre drops back under pressure he tries to force a ball into double coverage which is then picked for 6 the other way. Vikings lose the super bowl (their 5th) and then in the offseason Favre dinks around claiming to retire, then unretire, then retire again only to try to come back during the training camp, whining the whole time about how is doesn't feel welcome in Minnesota. This frustrates the Wilfs so much that they sell the team to a group of California investors who promptly move the Vikings to LA.

As for Mr Farve he's my open message to you. Thank you for all that you have done for the Packer organization. You were a pleasure to watch while you were here. We will never forget you Brent!

Last year I was completely against Favre becoming a Viking. I now realize how terrible the other options are and couldn't be happier, even if he's the athlete I have HATED with a passion for a decade and a half.

    GO VIKES!
