    Technically, I think a guy named Gogalak, or something like that, brought the soccer style kick to the NFL. I remember reading a book when I was young, he lined up to kick a ball and the holder said something like, "Hey, what do you think you're doing!".

    D'oh! Remind me not to get in a trivia contest with you guys.

    I'm still pretty sure Jan invented the Wankel engine or teh interweb or something.

    Pete Gogolak from Cornell started in the AFL in '64
    Jan Stenerud Mont.St.perfected it from '67 till his retirement as a MN Viking.

    Al Gore invented the interweb.
