I still don't understand why more UND fans are not upset with the fact they are without a conference as opposed to a nickname. In 5 years, people will not remember....they will...but they won't. You understand. Without a conference....it is VERY HARD to compete/recruit. Not sure why not more people talk about this. Maybe Dan Hammer should get his nose out of the nickname thing and ask UND big wigs why/where the conference is going to come from.

And with und fans bashing the conference that they should be trying to get into on the Forum online comments and other fans sending nasty e-mails to Tom Douple, that doesn't help their situation either...

I'm afraid that if und gets invited to the Summit, they're going to be the problem child of the conference from an administrative standpoint, just like in the NCC.

This is just stupid. There was another article in the forum today talking about how one of the tribes overwhelmingly voted in support of the f***ing nickname... but the final vote lies with the "tribal council." If I'm a member of this tribe, I'm irate. What makes them think they don't have to follow the vote of their people. I hope UND pulls all support for them if they don't get their heads out of their asses and realize what they are really doing. This "tribal council" is just trying to get their 15 minutes of fame... newsflash, that was up the day after they started raising a stink about everything.

You can bet your bottom dollar that und will be asking the state for money. That's why they asked the SBoE to take over the issue.

I don't think that's the reason that they handed the decison to the SBoE.

I think they did that so that when the hard core nickname people come knocking they can point their left index finger at the SBoE while they continue to pinch checks between their right index finger and thumb.
