It would of been a hell of a year for a playoff.

EVERY year would be a great year for a playoff. Ever since the creation of the BcS, there have always been statements like "Yeah, but what about (insert team here)?". March Madness is always great, and a football playoff would always be great.

You are dead on. Even if it's the favorite that wins it all in a blow out I always look back at March Madness and think that it was an awesome tournament. All the guys who hide behind the argument that the reg. season games wouldn't be important with a playoff system are full of it. The reg. season already has meaningless games, the ones in September. If you lose early you can still make it up, but if you lose later on your screwed. they never bring up that fact.

Yes but that BB where they play 20-30 games. You are almost expected to lose a few.

...except for the ones in September and early October. You can lose an early game but if you would lose that same game in late October or November you're screwed. It makes no sense. A playoff wouldn't kill a team that would get a loss later in the season. We wouldn't need anything big. 8 team playoff to start. Every game would still count. With only 8 teams making the playoff field you still better win your games. It would be epically retarded to think that every game doesn't count by implementing an 8 team playoff.
