Mertens is the worst QB in 10 years
He's got terrible vison, innacurate arm, and makes terrible decisons at the worst possible times. His picks come at the worst time and he deflates the team. You can tell he inspires no confidence in the team. We need to bench this guy because he's simply not a D1 QB. The worst part of the deal: He's the best guy on the roster.

Fingers can be pointed everywhere...but it starts at the top.
The QB sits next to the coach at the top. He is the field leader.
Defensive leadership is missing also.
This isn't about talent generally. The Bison are as talented as the polls said. Unfortunately...we came into this season with an untested quarterback.
It still is 'just a game,' but it's an important game.

Too bad Brekke had to leave. If I was Brekke, I'd be pretty pissed off if the coach made it clear he's "the man." It's too bad we didn't have other options because this team is just a QB away from being undefeated.
EDIT: He's the worst QB in 15 years. Not 10.

Mitch Brekke is a back up, he didn't start against Mary. Maybe he sucks too.

yes, this dismay is more than mertens (oline, special teams, etc...) but four picks in this game, and throwing constantly into coverage is unexplainable
