ORU drops Bison 3-2 in 2OT

The Bison dropped a huge Summit League game to ORU tonight. The Bison controlled the game everywhere but the scoreboard as the Golden Eagles capitalized on some set plays to defeat the herd 3-2 in the second overtime.
It is a probably going to come down to a 4 horse race between NDSU, ORU, WIU & IUPUI for the final two spots in the Summit tournament so a home loss to one of them is tough to swallow.
To make matters worse, IUPUI beat Oakland tonight and WIU beat IPFW.
Time to regroup against Centenary on Sunday. Should be a good opportunity for the young Bison to gain some confidence.

A real heart-breaker especially after a brilliant penalty kick save by Kalani. With standing water on the field, the Bison dominated the entire game but could not find the back of the net despite plenty of opportunities. A real disappointment for the very vocal and supportive fans who endured the the terrible conditions to cheer them on. Should have ended in regulation with a win.
