Hallstrom just stated on the postgame that NDSU is not a playoff team in their current condition. I have to agree.

I have to agree. 4 games gone. Not much time left. They are going to have to come together on a consistant basis. You cant ride on the coat taile of a few players. Too many teams out there are good and will take advantage of weakness and mistakes. The Bison are finding this out. Plus they arent intimidated as some people thought.PL

Just an FYI App State lost so this might be an exciting year! Polls are going to change Monday.

    Some stats..

    Heck had 9 receptions for 111 yards...Humber had a 12 tackles...Mertens was 22 of 38 for 296 yards..Roehl had 104 yards on 14 carries(7.4 yards per carry) for two TDs.

After this game I have three questions...
-Why did Roehl sit for so long?
-What happend with the defesnive gameplan? Did the coaches get the wrong film or what?
-What happend with Mertens, specifically on those 4 ints and how do you fix that?

Who knows why Roehl sat so long? Very mysterious to me.

Defense is BRUTAL. They need to figure something out in a hurry for the rest of the year. Did they have over 300 yards rushing? I don't know if they did, but even if they didn't it was shitty.

I think there is a whole thread on Mertens

Yep, they are 2-2, same as us, same as SDSU, same as EWU, same UMASS, same as YSU, same as WIU, same as Delaware....Lets just say there are a lot of teams in a similar boat, there are few unbeaten teams left.

56 carries for 340 yards, it wasn't that they gave up so many yards it was the way in which it happened. It was like we had never seen that kind of offense before, even though we played against the spread 3 times last year and I assume we were preparing for it all week long.

As for the defensive game plan. I am wondering if this is the same offense that SDSU saw a few weeks ago. If I am correct they benched the QB after that loss and went with the guy the had in there tonight as he was more of a run threat and opened up their offense. I believe their old starting qb even quite the team withing the last few weeks.
