I know next to nothing about volleyball... How are these teams that we're playing?

We'll know more about these teams when the Bison press release comes out this week.

Illinois-Chicago was 15-16 last year, 6-10 in conference play last year. They also beat NDSU 3-1 and were 2-10 on the road. They are picked to be fourth in the Horizon League this year.

UTEP was 9-20 last year, 3-13 in conference play last year. They lost to NDSU 3-2 and were 0-11 on the road. They play in the C-USA and are expected to suck.

UNC was 10-20 last year, 8-8 in conference play last year. They lost to SDSU 3-2 and were 3-9 on the road. They are predicted to come in fifth in the Big Sky this year.

You've got to go watch vball, its fast, fun and exciting. The gals really play hard and sometimes they make these fantastic pancake saves (diving, hand flat on floor)!! An old but great vball venue at Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse, close to the court and a great view.

When the Bunkers donated $1 million in 1995 to rename the Physical Education Building, they insisted that Chuck Bentson’s name be used – and placed before their name.

“I asked Art, ‘But doesn’t Bunker Fieldhouse sound good?’” NDSU fundraiser Erv Inniger told the volleyball players.

“And I said, ‘Do you want the million dollars or not?’” Art Bunker said.

“Bentson-Bunker sounds good to me,” Inniger said.

I've been to one or two games at Iowa State (vs. an amazing Nebraska team) and they were pretty fun. We could've reached out and touched the servers before they'd serve. I just can't get into it as much as say a basketball or football game...

Noreen Bunker is a wonderful sweet old lady, but Art Bunker looks like he's about to kick off at any moment.
