NDSU pitchers Chad Berg and Chris Paterson combined on the no-hitter, which is believed to be the first-ever of its kind against the Bluejay baseball program. Berg threw the first inning and one batter in the second before Paterson threw the final five innings.

I don't think there's a baseball coach in this world that would be happy with 9 walks over 6 innings from his pitching staff. I am in no way being negative. I'm telling it like it is.

While it is nice for those two guys to be able to say they threw a no hitter, when you lose the game because you walk nine guys and bean another in six innings that is embarrassing. Hopefully the team can grab a quick win here and regain some momentum going into the non-ORU segment of the conference schedule and do some damage.
