GDT: NDSU at SDSU

Just want to say that I am psyched as hell to have these two teams entering the Gateway next year. Unlike our most recent addition (Western Kentucky), these are two regional programs that bring a lot with them and promise to help make the Gateway the undisputed #1 FCS conference in the country. That was on display today.

Great season Bison. They have nothing to hang their heads about.

Now the fun begins. Gateway and playoffs in 2008!

This game does not take anything away from the great season that these young men had, especially the Seniors. It has been a real honor and fun time to follow the Bison to back to back 10-1 seasons.

Today the wabbits prevailed but we had them on the ropes really until Koenig broke that long one. Dam wabbits. But in all sincerity, great game RABBITS! We will try and get one up on you next year!!

Great Game Bison, Jacks created turnovers, and won on special teams. We'd circled this game after two years straight in the dome.

Enjoyed that it was a to-the-final-gun game.

Looking forward to battling Bison next year for the GATEWAY crown.

Sorry rabbit, last I heard UNI doubled up your yards and beat you by 17 on your home field. Try getting withing a touchdown before you think of the Gateway title.

Signature of SDSU teams under Coach Stig is that we get better as the year goes on. UNI didn't get our best. NDSU did, and we beat a great team.

Oh, and this was our FIRST year with 63 scholarships. You understand that full-funding doesn't truly pay off for two or three years with the kind of depth a team needs.

So... Go ahead and assume we won't be competitive.
