In addition to the Sagarin, I have seen a number of scattered posts coming from powerhouse FBS schools commenting on NDSU's ELO-CHESS ranking.

ELO-CHESS is an unbiased ranking system which is utilized by the Bowl Championship Series. NDSU is currently # 19, higher than Florida (21), USC (26) and Oklahoma (27).

I hope that the next three games: Mississippi Valley State (223), Minnesota (84) and Southern Utah (171) do not bring down the Sagarin rating too much, but I suspect even with three solid wins that NDSU will lose the top FCS Sagarin spot after these three games.

ELO-CHESS is BCS PC BS. There's no margin of victory component in it. The best number to look at on the Sagarin Ratings is the Predictor number but even that won't be any good until at least next week. Presently it still has a preseason component in the calculation.

That said, what happens to the BCS calculation which is published for the first time next week, if any of the computers are giving us or another 1-AA school points? Do we just get ignored the move the 1-As below us up a notch?

Since we are not eligible for the FCS, is there any chance a FBS bowl would pick us to play? Does it state anywhere the bowls are for FBS teams only? Or are we ineligible for this also with the 5 year transition period?

I am pretty sure we are not eligible since we don't have enough wins against FBS schools.

There is absolutly NO CHANCE we will play in a bowl game. Even if by some chance we are eligible there is no chance in hell we will be picked. NCAA is way too rigid.
