Gateway wants playoff expansion

Saw this over on the bunny board. The Gateway wants to expand the playoffs. Another good article from TheSouthern.com.

Just to clarify...it says they want playoff field expansion, not conference expansion right? Or perhaps I missed something?

you are correct Gully. No mention of conference expansion just playoff field expansion.

Sorry, I had just gotten up when I posted that. I was thinking "Playoff" but wrote "conference". I updated the thread title.

There is so many good teams in FCS. A playoff expansion wouldn't be a bad idea.

Agreed. I'm not sure why this couldn't happen. DII added some recently I believe.

Just glad they are not expanding the conference. We have to keep UND out of ANY conference.
