    Default SIU needs new stadium

Not really a news flash, but here's a good article about the troubles.

SIU football program in dire need of a new home By Robert Crow, The Southern

Crumbling, hot, humid, leaky, with tiny rooms that bugs like. It makes the BSA look like a Four Seasons.

I always like comments like this:
Two more schools join the Gateway next season, including North Dakota State, which has new, top-of-the-line facilities.

I have been to SIU's stadium. It looks like decades of neglect.

My God, it looks worse than what the remaining Dacotah Field north grandstand looks like now. I really hope they can build a new facility. And that SDSU and Illinois State does major improvements on their stadiums, and that Western Illinois finishes up the other half of theirs. I wanna see the Gateway have the best stadiums in the FCS.

NOTHING is as bad as the old Dakota Field! In my humble opinion leaving it there like that is disrespectful to the tradition built there.
