Honestly, I can’t think of a good tailgating spot downtown, but there is a very large, vacant parking lot by the Mall of America. It isn’t ideal, but they could set up something for tailgating there....

If you don’t want to pay for downtown prices, then you could stay near the Mall of America for a bit cheaper and plan to take the blue line. For about $4 you can easily ride downtown both ways. It...
