I think donations may start drying up anyway. I'm curious about the demographics of teammakers and donors. I know one guy from college who is a teammaker. One. I'm 32.

What a joke of an athletic department.
The only thing that would make this acceptable is if Grant specified he didn't want to play against NDSU.
I'd like to see football and basketball do that too but if any G5 conference thought that was possible, NDSU would have gotten picked up a long time ago
I don't know how much appetite there is gonna be for what amounts to a crappy version of the NIT. "You weren't as good as the best G5 team, now play against each other!"
I'm curious about this as well at the mid-major and FCS level.
Cornell is a hick school. He'll fit in
.
It is not if he is referring to 1.5 million people. It's a combined statistical area of ten(!!!) counties. Do you know what is included in the Fargo CSA? Wahpeton. A town an hour away.
Have you been? Its not a metro lol.
Clemson is a satellite the size of Jamestown. Is Fargo more attractive than Clemson? Perhaps we should call the ACC.
When it comes to basketball I think it sorta is an ultimatum. Not exactly a dedicated fanbase as it is
Perfectly fine. He's a realist.
I didn't forget. Went with a buddy from UND and he was on cloud nine from the opening kickoff
He'll be gone the second someone else shows interest anyway *jaded*
NDSU's market is North Dakota and a chunk of Minnesota, I think? What is SDSU's? Presumably something similar?
It'd probs make money tbh
I don't mind political discussions. I said I went to NDSU, majored in Finance, and didn't experience the things people worry about. I'm very conservative. Probably moreso than my Gen X parents are....
I went for Finance. Not communications. Maybe they should have had higher reading comprehension requirements so they could have filtered you out.
If that's how you are interpreting the statement then I can't really help you.
I did Finance at NDSU. Outside of my generals...I didn't notice much about political leanings with my professors. I'm sure they had opinions..but I don't recall that bleeding over into my courses....
It took him until now to figure out FCS football has been dying? It's been dying since I was in school.
FCS football is dead. Such is life.
I did not know this. They got a new wing put on their building about a decade ago?
Yeah that's sorta what I mean. No point going somewhere if they just want you to be a backup or you expect them to bring in transfers.
Even if it isn't playing Day 1, getting a real and meaningful opportunity probably carries some value.
Look at Keinholz from Ohio State. Third string as a true freshman. Got to play in the bowl...
Giving donors control of roster management....what could go wrong lmao
You know they do track these things, right? https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/inbreeding-by-country.
He was traded before any other highly drafted guys in his class too after...
