whoa if you want tickets, go here now https://www.mlb.com/twins/tickets/events/ndsu-butler-football
Literally they released thousands. You can get 45 yard line 8th row up to 9 tickets or front row...
Whose thinking about a football game in mid July. Should see a boost around August 1st
I vaguely remember a rotory phone as a kid and I remember using them a few times. I would get a kick out of using one.
But its completely understandable since were 2 generations removed from...
I have kids who do it too. I was resistant to technology changes but I have to admit that i prefer the new to the old school technology I grew up on. If you dont use it, you won't miss it. But once...
I dont think kids talk on the phone anymore. They text, snap chat, IM, video chat. Even older people are going that route
Paid attendance is great but only half showed up. High School Football is competition for a Big Ten team?
The report says TCF Bank Stadium was less than half full for five of seven home games this season with an average announced crowd of 37,914, which the Strib says is the lowest since 1992.
But...
They did beat Youngstown. Not that it matters. But 28k tickets sold is pretty solid
28,000 tickets sold so far. To buy tickets, go to http://www.twinsbaseball.com/football
...
That's kind of big though. Only conference rivals with a short driving distance and a solid fan base could make that work
Got my tickets already. That was fast
There are still plenty of tickets left. Not sure where everyone is getting this whole almost sold out idea
Plus you got a ton of people who didn't graduate for whatever reason or transferred.
85k alumni worldwide? Seem hard to believe since our enrollment hasn't been below 10k since 1999. Is an alumni someone who graduated or does it count people like Lakes?
I don't disagree with that. I'm just not excited to go to Minneapolis. I lived there for a year and I didn't like it. I've been to Target field plenty of times.
Apparently some people break wood over the thought of going to Minneapolis. I don't consider myself to be a world traveler but Minneapolis isn't on my top 100,000 list of places I want to see before...
That's in part to the fact The Great West had like 4 teams. 2009 sure sucked though. It's probably good we didn't play 6 games that year!
It's melodrama only when everyone doesn't agree with you.
Like I said I'm not opposed to it but dismissing the fact that tailgating is kind of a big deal to a fan base that has custom painted...
Agreed but in all fairness it's not just me. There are probably more tailgaters than people in the dome. The tailgating busses are lined up for a mile overnight. Most of those people don't post here...
To clarify... just because I'm asking a lot of questions, that doesn't mean I am opposed to the game. I see the upside if it.
My real concerns are...
- losing a home game (may happen in a 12...
I'm sure if we played a non conference game vs a cupcake team in Frisco TX in September it would draw... 2-3 thousand
It's easy to dismiss the importance of tailgating for a full 5-1/2 hours when you don't have a tailgating vehicle that you've spent big bucks on, pay for reserved spots that cost $125 each (x6), ...
Sec schools are self funded and don't even get state money. Last year Alabama had 16 million more in revenue than expenses. Our entire athletic budget was 21 million
Most Bison fans tailgate for 5-6 hours before the game and and hour after. It's just tradition.
So for most of it it's 7 hours driving, 6-7 hours tailgating, 3 1/2 hours for the game. Plus...
