Well, it's been a month and nothing has been publicly announced. And no rumors to my knowledge. Anyone have any idea why it's taking long to hear anything at all?
Good question. You'd hope NDSU is going after the same kids as the other mid-majors in the region: SDSU, USD, North Dakota, Creighton, Drake, UW-Green Bay, UW-Milwaukee and there is a big difference....
Another thing to consider is that playing one game against a D1 team is much different than playing D1 every game. Exhibition games are much different in a regular season game.
I agree with your comment 100%. Gophers losing recruiting battles with in state kids is not going to change with the current coach.
For the record I am a Walseth fan. Go ahead and spin the Crookston loss any way you want to make it sound better than it actually is for yourself.
Lose to UM-Crookston and people talk about just being better at the end of the season? Of course being better at the end of the season is what everyone wants. No excuses...losing to a below average...
Also one going to Illinois State, one to Hampton, and a few more that will be D1. Hopkins had an unreal roster.
Meh.
Good luck to her with the Yotes.
Fun to win games. You are easily impressed. Kent State is the opposite of a good team.
Congrats to Coach Walseth. Hopefully the first of many wins.
This ^^^^ Thiesse would be someone to at least reach out to to gauge interest. Her sister is head coach for USD Coyotes...would make for interesting matchups with them.
If this is true, I say Dumbest. Idea. Ever.
What are the positives of keeping a dismissed coach around? I see zero of them.
Someone to consider is Emilee Thiesse, current Minnesota State-Mankato coach. Former Drake and SDSU assistant. Doing a great job in Mankato. Her sister is head coach at USD.
The schedule looks weak. Might be an opportunity to have a better record though.
Lots of love and prayers being sent Hannah's way. I admire and respect her attitude and the fight she has in her. Best of luck Hannah!
I'm not suggesting you are saying you'd be happy with a top four finish in conference every year.
The mentality should be that we should expect to win the conference every year.
This schedule is ok. Without comparing last year to this year's schedule with a fine tooth comb, it appears on the surface that it is a bit more challenging than last years at least.
UWGB will...
Since the discussion has been brought up from time to time about small roster numbers. Has anyone heard if there will be any late signees to the women's program?
ORU doesn't have the $$$ to make that move.
Chenowith was a McDonald's All-American in HS. And a 2nd round pick of the Knicks.

Have to agree with you HandoEX. The league record is just not good enough to warrant serious consideration. Add to that Luper is pretty damn good and they won the league. Plucker had a very good...
I'll say 17-11 with two of those wins coming against powerhouses Valley City and Mayville.
Her sister does play at Northern State. I've seen Kahla play a few times. She's a nice player. Pretty steady player. Welcome Kahla!
Thanks for posting the video. They said all the right things. Not only very good players, but they seem like good quality teammates too. Can't wait!
I believe the Roysland reference was meant to be that she played for the North Tartan AAU program.
