I personally don't think doctoral research should be criteria for athletic competition... Especially with the replication crisis that plagues most of said "research."
Would Bison fans be in favor of adding Grand Canyon?
I heard it. Haisten doesn't know much about The Summit or ORU. I liked when he told your radio guy that ORU wasn't going to spend $475,000+ on the next coach; like only $200,000 just couldn't compete...
I like Sutton but none of the reported restrictions are true. Pretty easy to see where the rumors came from though...
KU was also ranked 3rd when ORU won at Allen Fieldhouse in 2006.
Really good win for IPFW. Hopefully we can keep it within 10 when we play them :(
We are still a season or two away from being back in contention for a conference championship :uhyeah:
That's what they call "Sooner magic" :facepalm2:
Playing in Norman is like a 3rd world country.
Finish strong Bison. Nothing better than when OU loses.
The Southland does offer an easier path to the dance... but they are adding such power house schools as Abilene Christian, Houston Baptist, & Incarnate Word :facepalm2:. So, that probably guarantees...
Glad to see more Summit teams playing in this.
I understand that Kampe never wants to play in the ESPN Bracketbuster because "His #1 focus is on winning the league." It sure has worked over the...
Pre-season ORU games are usually like this. Sutton cycles players in & out all game.
It's hard to get a groove going when coach is messing with line-ups most of the night...
Plus, Oakland is...
I agree that Ford should probably feel like his team should have won the game last season. Every athlete should go in the game feeling that way.
But "complete fluke" probably wasn't the best...
I wouldn't mark down a NDSU loss so quickly. ORU has home wins over Missouri and the #12 ranked Lobos but... we still don't have a true PG and only have a roster of eight players.
The Golden...
#6 on ESPN's Top Ten Plays.
Never thought we would win this one. ORU only suits up seven guys and Mike Anderson plays a style that should have run us off the floor... but we won :D
ORU game winner against Missouri <---...
Nah. Way too many injuries this season. Oakland always starts off slow in the non-conference and then turns up the performance in league.
Here is a similar thread on the ORU message board that keeps track of Summit League OCC games (wins & losses) with scores and boxscores.
Yeah, all bets are off. We have had more players lost to injury this season than I can ever remember happening. :banghead:
On the one hand this poll is a joke because it's the power conference teams trying to tier college basketball (notice how teams like Gonzaga and Butler who are hardly Mid-Major are included) into the...
Baseball. ORU does not field a softball team. I am not sure of the dimensions but I think you are correct that it is far too low to play a full on game. The entire setup will be enclosed with a net....
I think Tveidt & Morrison will make the post season lists.
I would imagine that an indoor facility would be key for northern programs. ORU is just putting the finishing touches for the upcoming offseason.

I believe playing in the Bracketbuster only assures you of a return date for the following season.
That is another bonus since most of the match-ups are decent and it is one less scheduling hassle.
I wish more Summit teams would have participated in Bracketbuster this year. It would have been perfect for Oakland this year.
