I looked the Chargers still have Chase Daniel on their roster. It has to be possible he doesn't make it out of training camp.

Seemed to work out OK for Kyler.
Brees was a decent prospect. First pick of 2nd round. Michael Vick draft IIRC. Chargers had the #1 overall and traded it to Falcons. Chargers took LT at #5 and Brees at #33.
Brady? yeah, well...
So why would you do it then?
from what I can find all 5th rounders sign 4 year contracts.

12/15 and 2/2 (if the Chargers make it that far)
When was the last time Nebraska had a QB drafted in the 2nd round?
Cool moment in their home.
Does this mean he has to father 9 kids?
Good call.
I just don't believe there are only 3-4 teams that will draft a QB today.
They just signed him through 2021, but I don't see a reason the Steelers wouldn't draft a late round QB.
The list of teams that could draft a QB is longer than teams that definitely won't IMO.
A lot less pressure on the team to keep an UDFA on the team than a late round pick. I'd much rather...
Probably not many, John Elway is one though. Murray's 4th year will be guaranteed. I don't see him leaving that on the table.
He was #2 behind P. Manning. I looked up he played in 98, 00, and...
The list of #1 picks that don't make it 4 years is probably 1, JaMarcus Russell.
Mahomes 24
From what I've read 20 is average.
Even if Murray bombs out in NFL he's still going to sign for like $34-35m fully guaranteed. In all likelihood his 5th year option will be picked up too, that will be another $30m or so. I can't see...
Without a Tony Romo like injury, he probably doesn't get a starting position soon (like you mentioned). No one is going to draft him with the thought, "we hope someday he becomes our starting QB."
no. Herbert is a junior.

For those asking, my top 4:
1. D. Haskins
Oregon is 2020 irrc.
Based on my own experience I'd say 13 reps at 225 maxes out around 300-310. Awesome for someone that only weighs 150lb, but I really doubt that was near the best on the team.
You don't think a Northern Sun school would snap give them a scholarship if they left NDSU?
like where, Cuba?
To those that follow recruiting more closely than myself, how does Stick compare to the other QBs on our roster coming out of HS?
