Even with a better media deal, imagine trying to compete with a school that spends more money paying someone not to coach than your entire athletic budget.
The only think worse than black uniforms unless it's one of your school colors is all grey like Ohio State or the Detroit Lions.
But just think how cool the Bison would look in all black uniforms for a night game!
And they'll still end up in some loser bowl nobody cares about.
With the current NCAA rules, conferences can't move up. Teams can only move up if they are invited into an existing FBS conference.
Won't the TV networks dictate the times for the games? We already have Colorado hosting USC kicking of at 10:00 AM local time. I hope the college kids can get out of bed that early or stay up that...
Everybody not in a P4 conference is at another establishment while the bottom feeders in the the P4 are at the kids table.
Delaware is "open" to a move to the FBS according to recent stories which doesn't necessarily mean they are.

I'm not sure how each school does in other sports, but even SEC football teams probably like having some easier games on the schedule once in a while.
Did the 8 teams leaving the Pac-12 pay an exit fee? If so, all of those funds should be controlled by the remaining four to entice new members.
They might draw more viewers if the games were played in the afternoon on the west coast although then there are more games going on at the same time across the country.

With the streaming model, Netflix isn't enough. You also need Apple TV, Paramount, MAX, Hulu, Disney, ESPN, and probably others I can't think of right now.
