America is rabid for MAC football.
Yes. Money games.
There's a different, real reason why you schedule those...
Western Illinois gets half of it's measly 10 million dollar budget from the University, half from it's students.
Pretty much tied for last with ipfw who doesn't field football.
A reckoning is...
What am I talking about?
Money.
And WIU's lack of it.
Things are going to get crazy when their isn't a college football season this year.
I would be surprised if WIU and Indiana State field football teams in two years.
I don't see the NCAA strictly adhering to minimum sport rules for the next five years.
Hundreds of schools are going to be stopping sports. If theres no football season NDSU will be among them.
Sioux Falls is a phenomenal host.
So much so, that Prince wrote a song about it.
I'm okay with it. We've already got two. Have no problem with a few more.
My dream conference would be a bunch of land grants, but wharever.
This is good for the summit as will Augie's addition.
For anyone not making tv money geographic coherence is primary.

I mean, look at this sh#t. What planet are these animals from?
Not really a fan of marsupials generally. The whole born and then crawling into their moms pouch thing is pretty f#cked up.
I'm good with this.
I don't need to look into it.

Is your post a joke?
Pioneer athletics is a realm of misfit toys. Being national champions in co-ed skiing means nothing to no one. They are in the Summit because no one else would take them.
Who says the Summit is all about institutional fit?
Why did we add Oral Roberts and Denver, two private institutions. The former is tremendously different from the rest of the schools.
...
Who says we don't?
I think the problem is that some fans interests don't align with the presidents. They blame it on Douple not getting it, when he's almost surely following marching orders.
What do you think of adding Moorhead state?
NMSU needs to come to terms with reality - that they are not an FBS program and do not have a path to become one.
Once they do that the Summit or more likely the Big Sky become a natural fit.
Ding ding ding
Big time conferences are a function of tv sets, small times ones geography. Umkc would be a good addition.
Northern Colorado is a great fit for the Big Sky
Hold my beer.
And you got that invite from the Big Sky because the SU's had done well and thought they could get four very strong Division I programs.
No one circled Vermillion on the map and said this is...
Fixed your post so it can be read with UND/USD/Augie correctly.
