Title IX is Federal law. It follows wherever.
You're 800 miles to Boston or Orlando; it's 750 miles Fargo to Indy.
I still say the solution is build the Western answer to the MAC (with parts from Summit and BSC).
Four hours from Indy is most of the makings of a P2/P5 conference.
Four hours from Fargo is ... Dickinson.
They love their west coast recruits via games at Davis and Sac and Poly and PSU. Not sure they're looking to give that up.
All the indicators are there.
UNI will stay with BB (MVC) first and foremost.
" ... from the west."

WasSU and OrSU (the 2PAC) might be looking for schedule fill.
Delaware?
Location, location, location.

If WasSU/OrSU wakes up one morning in an all-sports 'bed' with the MWC teams, does it matter what 'roof' it's under?
" ... is likely to feature a long-term commitment to the conference with an intent at a full merger beyond this two-year cycle ..." <-- Is that enough to claim they're departing like all the rest. I...
The way that looks you see that Gloria/MWC has the power position.
If you're hungry for brains why are you at Bisonville?
C'mon, it was so easy it had to be said. ::frog:
MWC exit fees:
- 2 years notice: $17,000,000.00
- 1 year notice: $34,000,000.00
... to go to a "PAC" where the headliners are WasSU and OrSU. I'm just not feelin' it.
An update.
In 2022, total athletics expenditures by the combined Dak4 (USD, SDSU, NDSU, UND) of $105M were less than half of those of The Ohio State University ($228M). ...
The 2PAC reached out to the ... Sun Belt ... for a lifeline (scheduling alliance) and were rebuffed.
Reasons?
Geography. Money.

That doesn't align with the BXII media contract that gives pro-rata (additional full share) to new members. The 4C schools were targets because of the pro-rata; they should "cost" the legacies...
Another board pointed out the adds were pro-rata (media gives another full share per) under the media contract; it's likely not the media deal. Bowl money conference splits maybe?
About 39 minutes in the ISU AD talks about how expansion is costing legacy BXII members money. He's not specific on "how" but to say it in public is interesting. ...
I did pick the bottom nine of CUSA.
CUSA has ... nine, so I picked nine.
Objectively?
The numbers are Massey ratings.
The "/" denotes nothing but a separator in a side-by-side comparison.
Like Chaves says, strength in staying together. Going as a group makes for more stable, predictable budgets.
Massey, today, top nine of each:
63 Liberty/SDSU 57
75 WKU/S Ill 79
92 Jacksonville St/NDSU 93
125 Louisiana Tech/USD 118
141 MTSU/UNI 120
143 New Mexico St/UND 129
152 Florida Intl/YSU...
Believe what you will, I won't change it; Chaves is setting things in place for whatever may come....
