    Re: Summit Expansion?

I don't see the NCAA strictly adhering to minimum sport rules for the next five years.

Hundreds of schools are going to be stopping sports. If theres no football season NDSU will be among them.

    Re: NDSU @ Oregon Predictions

    Uh, what?

The governor most certainly has a say. With the exception of the courts intervening she has the ultimate say especially for the operations of state government.

    I can speak about...

    Re: Universities in Jeopardy

    Really?

The constitution says that the state has a responsibility to support local school districts, something they abdicated in the 1980s until recently.

    Re: NDSU @ Oregon 9.5.2020

Who gives a crap about storylines.

The public is going to be so sports starved by the time fall rolls around they'd watch a bunch of fat third graders play dodgeball at recess.

    Re: NDSU @ Oregon 9.5.2020

First off, this is America. We have a different culture.

Second, most folks who shut it down had to deal with SARS a decade ago and had protocols and recent memories.

    Re: Universities in Jeopardy

Doesn't make sense for NDSU to absorb anybody, we are very different than anyone except UND and I don't think we're doing anything with them organizationally.

I can see one 2 year institution with...
  19. Re: What happens to NCAA football after Covid19?

One problem with Akron's and North Dakota's approach is that everyone cuts off a limb and goes around handicapped, often better off that you eliminate an organization entirely.

    That's not a certainty.
  21. Re: What happens to NCAA football after Covid19?

    covid as accelerant.

I bet that one-fourth of all NCAA/NAIA football teams never play another game.

    actually we shouldn't dress him.

    definitely no contact practice.

    maybe sidelines at practice.

maybe he should stay in crib with a binky so...

    Re: NDSU @ Oregon 9.5.2020

Oregon's done a great job with covid.

Responded quickly and strongly right after things exploded in Washington. I thought things were going to get ugly there, but it's been really quiet.
