Definitely showed he has NFL arm talent today, if he hadn't previously. I thought he played like a winner today. His numbers don't speak to how effective he was, honestly.

He is looking like a man possessed early on in this game. He looks like he is trying to get the monkey off of his back...and he has been on point so far. The one throw that was broken up at the last...
Stick is still hesitating before he uncorks it. I don't really understand what his hold up is, he is making the right read, he just doesn't trust it always. I remember one play distinctly in the UNA...
Really going out on a limb there.
Literally exactly what I've been saying. I broke down the play exactly the same on the first one, said he made the right read. The go route wasn't open.
Second play, also what a lot of us have...
That rings a bell, good call.
I also believe this to be the case. I thought another team came in late with Trey.
Did you? Because a knock on Carson was he didn't go through his progressions. Granted, a lot of his presnap reads were correct so he ended up locking on and essentially waiting.
With that said,...
Stick's issues aren't with seeing the field, it's trusting his instincts. He consistently makes the right read but second guesses himself causing a double clutch. He's thinking too much instead of...
That 2006 defense had 4 future NFL players on it. Absolutely ludicrous at that time.
If this thread doesn't indicate the difference between the band geeks and football people, I don't know what one does.
Kansas State isn't the NFL. Windows are a LOT smaller, players way quicker, smarter, etc. Brock was a great college QB, end of story.
I think he's too good of a passer for that to be the case. I won't rule it out, but I just think his value is higher as a QB at this point.
He's not as much a natural thrower as those at least Garopolo and Flacco. Romo has a weird release, not that Stick does, but I think throwing isn't as natural. Obviously, he doesn't have the big arm...
If Stick has another great year, I think he has a chance of being a pretty high draft pick. I think 2nd or 3rd round isn't out of the question if he really continues to grow. Not sure how he is...
So, what you are saying is, if we have 3 QBs, we should play scared? At what point is the backup situation settled where you can stop worrying about it in your eyes?
Hyperbolic - even as he still remembers/repeats that comment today?
Good point, I mean Klieman didn't say that Wentz was the best QB they faced all year or anything. As a true freshman.
Wait, so now we weren't happy with Carson Wentz as a backup? Lol d'ohk. I've heard it all in this thread now.
Except those same problems from the JMU game showed up last week with a much weaker defense...
I don't think it's an issue with reads. He is thinking too much and/or hesitating to pull the trigger. He usually finds an open guy, but will look for an extra second before ripping it. Saw that a...
Easton will get a look. I think he's got the physical tools and a stronger arm than Jensen. Who the fuck is Jansen? C'mon man.
Third round? You mean third day...
Brock Jensen was a running QB...
Tre Roberson handled it just fine?
