How did they get treated differently? They are a P5 school that went 12-0. The way the system is set up now, they would have a hard time getting in without going undefeated.
Navy isn't independent. Liberty, Army, and Air Force aren't going 12-0 against schedules like you see below either.
They play 5 ACC's annually.
They play USC, Navy, and Stanford annually....
Alabama didn't make it to their title game last year and still made the playoff.
Ohio State in 2016...same deal.
Only time anyone cares about conference titles is when Notre Dame pops up lmao.
Gotta be nice being able to recruit guys who can barely read.
Ugh, such is life.
I expect a good game against UGA next year. They had a friggin' awesome battle last year in South Bend. I might even make the drive up the Athens for that one.
They've played in 3 NY6/BCS games...
LMAO. UGA got their ass beat by UGA, tOSU struggled with U-Dub, Oklahoma got fucking pounded by Alabama, and somehow, Notre Dame losing to Clemson by a similar amount as Alabama is the problem.
...
why no Notre Dame? They kept it closer than Alabama did lmao.
I doubt they'll make it, but they return like 15 starters and have a marquee opportunity at UGA in September.

Bama likely to lose worse than Notre Dame did. With a roster loaded with 5 stars. This is wild.
The ND haters ready to apologize yet? Christ Clemson's so stupid dirty good. Trevor Lawrence is the truth.
Down 3 Tuddies with 20 minutes to go...not over but holy shit are they at DEFCON 1 in Tuscaloosa right now. DEFCON 2 or 3 down here on the Gulf Coast.
Or a blowout. One of the two.
Thank you.
Clemson is dirty good. Notre Dame has an elite defense right now, and two guys(granted, one of them a 1st team All-American) going out gave...
Lots of decent teams. But two outstanding teams right now. I think they did well with the 4 teams they chose.
It's because they are a turd. LSU was missing like 5 dlineman, 3 corners, and a safety on defense. Basically, the things that make LSU who they are. Trololol UCF blows.
Notre Dame's excuse? None. Played a better team and couldn't move the ball. The same thing happened to Clemson last year, Ohio St the year before, Michigan St and Washington have also experienced...
Uhhhh its borderline impossible to be a fairweather Notre Dame fan these days. They've been average for a blueblood program for the last 25 years.
I grew up going to games in a half full...
I'd bet over half the people in the FargoDome every Saturday didnt attend NDSU. Not sure what your point is here chief.
I like big bowl games regardless of who plays. All the proof I need of Notre Dame's importance is going on twitter after they lose any game ever haha.
If you don't think the Sugar Bowl is a big...
Nah. I didn't make your point. I think your point about team vs individual may have been valid though.
Georgia didn't want to play a blue blood in the Sugar Bowl?
Georgia specifically said they wanted to make a statement today and show the country how good they are. If you cant get excited to play the #15 team in the country, you have a problem.
You might...
I wrestled in about a million consolation matches. It wasn't hard to get up for a big one or against a good opponent.
The "(insert team here) was not motivated" is SEC propaganda.
We already knew they didn't belong. They got #rekt by LSU and blew a big lead against Alabama. Wins and losses matter.
No. They couldn't. Lol.
