Re: 2018 Recruiting Updates
Little know fact: Gus had THE Best arm on the team from 85-88. Wasn't even close. Brother played QB for MT State in those years and won a Natty in 85 or 86.

He's a local kid.
Re: 2018 Recruiting Updates
Who is this kid from Ellendale? Voldemort?
I'll risk writing his name: Clayton Grueneich. Rushed for about 600 yards in his last two games of 2016 (Class A semifinal and championship game.)

Kid looks like a good athlete with good size. Interesting he also plays DE at 6-0, 200. Not sure if he looks like he's a feature back though... Looks to me like either a linebacker or maybe a Chase Morlock type or back. Of course we haven't even seen his senior season yet so who knows maybe he will look more like a tailback next year
Re: 2018 Recruiting Updates
Another familiar QB name on the Scout recruiting list is Alec Ogden.
Younger brother to 5' 11" Autumn Ogden of the ladies' basketball team.
Alec is a 2018 interest, 6' 3" 180, Monona Grove HS, Wisconsin
2017 stats - 14 games, 205 attempts, 305 completions, 67.2%, 3074 yards, 10.1 ypc, 35 td, 219.6 Yards/game rating, 3 int, 134.2 QB rating

Amazing TD/int ratio!
Led Monona Grove to an 11-3 record, losing in the WIAA Division 2 title game 42-36 to Brookfield East

Now that is a passing percentage we could win some games with; "205 attempts, 305 completions". 149%, nice! :D

With that kind of efficiency we will never run out of time.

Watching him play in the championship game last year reminded me of some of our previous FB's. Get him into a college weight program and I could see a Jangula type FB.

That's a throwing motion from the kid of an NFL head coach that's for sure. Tight to the body with a compact, quick release. Definitely doesn't have the arm strength that will wow you just yet but plenty of time to grow and get stronger and develop that. Kid has serious talent.
