Possibly. My best guess is he is getting horrible advice from someone telling him the P5 will be all over him. About the best i could see this going is getting a crappy G5 school to take you, and have a chance to compete for the job. But, that really isn't a step up which is why this advice is so damn horrible.

I was assuming he graduated, or else he would have to sit a year. With that said, I hope you are right.....
