Former Bison Head Coach Tom Billiter & his Augustana coaches really have a solid recruiting class, including Jackson Loge who had the early Toledo offer plus a Fighting Hawks offer. (Still gotta get to signing day…)

Ayden McDonald is ‘from’ that Iron Range McDonald basketball family:Quote:
For their 2022 recruiting class it’s not a surprise Augustana nabbed four Minnesota Senior’s. What is a surprise is all four come from Minnesota Fury, and all are 6’5 or taller with a variety of skills with an emphasis on shooting. Adyen McDonald is a “big” guard. Sam Rensch is athletic wing who had multiple football offers. Jackson Loge is a 6’8 forward that had interest from D1 schools. Brady Helgren is a 6’9 Center that can stretch the floor.

Sam Rensch had a SDSU football offer as a 6’ 6” WR, plus South Dakota & Northern Iowa.
Brady Helgren got a nice comp from Ryan James:

I would definitely go to an Bison exhibition game against Augie, as opposed to, say Concordia.
Loge also had an offer from IPFW much more recently (despite his slowed down development as described by El_Chapo): https://twitter.com/jacksonloge22/st...95795535089666 | https://twitter.com/RyanJamesMN/stat...72221508493313
I think Augie being over the possible D1 transition is going to help get the Vikes back on the right track recruiting-wise. Granted, it was only a couple of years ago that we successfully recruited last year's Summit League Newcomer of the Year against the Bison, so we weren't really that off track. (Side note, it's always funny to see USD fans rip on Augie despite having to poach their best player from lowly Augustana.)
Either way, most people on here don't care about Augie's recruiting as much as I do so I'll shut up, but to the closing point you made in your post, I would certainly enjoy an Augie/NDSU match-up more than an NDSU/Concordia match-up. If anyone can make that happen, I'd be all about it as a fan of both programs. (As I've said before, I'll always root for the Bison over the Dakota schools. And the F'n Hawks.)
Here's to hoping this recruiting class for the Bison continues to prevent USD and SDSU from reaching the tournament.
Augie would be a good nom conference or exhibition game because they are a good D2 school, unlike the typical D2 programs we bring in that we beat by 30 or 40. Would like to see an actual competitive game
Also not sure why the other South Dakota schools hate you guys so much. In Fargo, we tend to root for the Moorhead States, Concordia and Valley City States of the region
According to Izzo, NDSU had about 10 basketball prospects at the football game Saturday. From pics on twitter I've seen Mason Klabo ('25 - Davies), Conner Kraft ('23 - Shanley), Patrick Bath ('23 - Totino-Grace), Tommy Humphries ('23 - Totino-Grace), Elijah Vos ('23 - Des Moines) and Cale Jacobsen ('22 - Ashland-Greenwood). From the way it looked they were all unofficial visits but can add some guys to the early watch list.
