Especially when it comes off as blaming your own fanbase.

Yesterday evening I watched a bit of the Missouri State / Oklahoma Stste game. Early in the broadcast one of the announcers indicated that MSU was in the MVFC, the toughest FCS conference out there. This implied MSU was good. Normally I would have appreciated the comment but implying MSU was one of the best FCS teams did a disservice to all of them especially with a 58-17 beat down.
Looks like games are longer this year. Did I miss a rule change? Haven't watched a complete one yet. What's taking so long?
This story leaves a bit to be desired for me. Nothingburger. How long has ticket scanning been in place?
Getting me and my friends 8 big hind ends in 11 KState bleacher seats makes me think the “Big Boys” have been packed at 85-90% for a long time.
Using Minnesota as the example? Check Indiana while you are at it.

Iowa St vs SDSU cancelled due to weather. Don’t see that very often. If they don’t reschedule, that will have an impact on bowl eligibility for the cyclones.
There were actually rule changes to speed up the game. Following a touchdown the 40 second clock is started and the try needs to be snapped before it expires. And after the kickoff the 40 second clock will start and the offense needs to be ready. Those each maybe save 15-30 seconds of downtime. The Bison game had 7 TDs and 10 kickoffs so it would maybe save 8-10 minutes at most. TV time outs and replay are the two major causes of longer games.
