but he has all the confidence in the world in Cam kicking a 40 yarder on the road in a strong wind. So it's even.

1 min+3 timeouts is a fucking eternity.
When the first 2 plays didn't work and we got to 3rd down it changes the way you call the game. Stick tried to run the ball like the Iowa drive. Unfortunately it didn't work

Tonight’s game is an example of what separates NDSU from other great college football teams - they can handle the target on the back. YSU was trying their absolute best to break those targeted backs and failed.

Yea, if we had won by 50 those same people would be complaining that it was time to move up because we're stomping everyone. Enjoy the freaking win.

Questionable time management and play calling at the end, hopefully from here on out, we play to win and not to lose.
He will never be. He took the short route to get back in the game. The right fix would have cost him the season and the draft. He's a soldier
Re: GDT: NDSU vs. Youngstown State
Klieman deserves plenty of criticism IMO for not letting his offense go win it. Yeah, his team won but had it not been for YSU's kicker missing a very makable FG they might still be playing. That wasn't good coaching that was just lucky. Once they got up 7 the coaching decisions went straight into "just don't lose" mode.

Agreed. Best YSU QB play the Bison have seen in years.

My guess, NDSU was making sure that didn’t happen tonight.
Perhaps if YSU’s defenders weren’t allowed to undress our receivers all game, maybe the coaches gamble and push the ball down the field.
The offsetting penalty in O.T. was proof the officials were not calling a fair game tonight in my opinion.

a lot of views of the decision to play not to lose vs play to win would be different had ysus kicker made his kick and cam missed his.
Im a believer in maximizing opportunities. defenders could slip, fall, bllow coverage, interfere. when easton got 4 yards instead of 14 on 1st down, they immediately didnt give their opportunity maximum chance to succeed,
i highly doubt the staff had the chiefs/broncos game in mind. especially for a team that rarely turns it over.

Nailed it!!!!!

Youngstown is back, get used to it. The have as much history in FCS/1aa as a we do, perhaps more. This is a high quality win. Unfortunately, Deluca has taken a step back in his return. I will be interested to see how the season plays out. But he looks a step slower.

lolol. so why do it twice in a row? get a 4 yards and try something different with an arsenal of timeouts. dont do it again, and then milk the clock 35 seconds.
